Summer Reading 2014-2015

We want to promote a love of reading for its own value. Recognizing the role of the Class of 2015 in organizing the three-on-three basketball tournament, this year’s summer reading selections for the Upper School reflect interest in the excitement, camaraderie, and community that can result from a shared, focused game. 9th graders will read a novel, while students in grades 10-12 will read a work of nonfiction. Both center on basketball.

Books for students entering grades 10-12 have been distributed, with each returning student’s school store account charged for his or her copy.

Rising 9th graders should obtain books on their own and read during the summer.

If you are a student who regularly uses audio books, please contact the Center for Learning about obtaining an audio version of your book. Email either Ms. Prockop at, or Mrs. Bradstreet at
